Coach Kevin Anderson of the Shenandoah University baseball team has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Baseball Coach of the Year for 2023. This recognition comes as no surprise to those familiar with Coach Anderson’s 19-year tenure with the Hornets.

Since becoming head coach in 2003, Coach Anderson has led the Hornets to consistent success, including multiple ODAC regular-season championships and conference tournament titles. He has also guided the team to numerous NCAA tournament appearances, including a trip to the Division III World Series in 2010.

Coach Anderson’s coaching philosophy centers around developing his players both on and off the field. He emphasizes the importance of hard work, discipline, and teamwork, and is committed to his players’ academic and personal success. This season, Coach Anderson led the Hornets to an impressive 28-10 overall record and an 18-6 record in conference play, earning them a spot in the ODAC tournament, and a ranking of No. 2 in the country.
